BOOK THEATER BRINGS THE MAGIC OF BOOKS
TO LIFE ON THE WEB WITH BARBARA TAYLOR BRADFORD'S HEIRS OF RAVENSCAR ON AMAZON.COM
New York, NY - October 9, 2007 - Peter Price, President and CEO of The National Academy of Television Arts And Sciences and renowned film producer Robert
Bradford transform the book industry with their creation of BOOK THEATER. The
debut project presents a collection of filmed scenes from Barbara Taylor Bradford's highly anticipated, 23rd novel, Heirs of Ravenscar (St. Martin's Press),
featured on Amazon.com.
The four video clips, culled from the pages of Mrs. Bradford's new novel, mark the first time the Internet has been utilized to promote and sell a book as a "short film." BOOK THEATER marks a brand new, innovative medium to intrigue readers. It will allow authors to premiere their work in an extraordinary new visual format enticing both loyal fans and potential new readers.
Peter Price and Robert Bradford collaborated with a leading digital video
production company and digital video director to create a 50 second "movie
trailer" and three scenes that each run approximately three minutes. The
vignettes were adapted from Bradford's Heirs of Ravenscar with an original cast of
actors and an original score.
"I'm pleased to be the first author to have a book featured as an Internet
mini-movie in BOOK THEATER on Amazon.com," says Barbara Taylor Bradford. "It's so exciting to see my fictional characters come to life in this unique medium. I'm sure my readers will enjoy seeing my characters in action, even before they've had a chance to read my new book."
Says Robert Bradford, "BOOK THEATER is on the cutting edge of bookselling and
marketing. It may revolutionize the publishing industry. There has never been
anything quite like this before."
