To help get past the pain of her personal tragedy, Nicky immerses herself in her work, continuing her dangerous reporting on one of the world's most feared terrorists.

She eventually finds love again with a fellow journalist, but her new life is threatened by the old one when Nicky's past comes back to haunt her in mysterious and deadly ways.
